The simple answer is, "to keep in touch with you." Here's how.
Fellow facebook users can access my profile and:
1) Look at pictures that I post (in PROFILE-PHOTOS)
2) Read my blog entries (in PROFILE-left hand side-scroll down)
3) Keep up with what I am doing through the day (in "What's on your mind")
You can be notified any time something is added to one of these sections.
Twitter adds two features to my communications and is valuable in networking. When I update "What are you doing?", it automatically:
1) Updates my facebook "status"
2) Posts my last 5 updates on this blog (on the left hand side).
Both of these tools allow me to connect with old friends, as well as connect with people who find that I am interested in the same things as they are. This has been valuable networking in ministry on a couple of occasions.
Pretty nifty, huh? If you are a facebook user, search for me and maybe we can be "friends". If you are up for trying something new, go to www.facebook.com or http://twitter.com
EDITOR'S NOTE: I am not being paid by either company for advertising. I am just trying to keep connected with you :-)
