Hard Decisions To Make

Decisions. Decisions. Decisions. With so many dear friends, family members, and ministry partners scattered across the USA and the world, it is nearly impossible to visit with each one every time we are on home assignment. Since we also need to leave time to visit with new potential partners, our time fills up fast. That means we must make some hard decisions.

After a very full summer of travel, including trips to Texas, Georgia, Florida, Minnesota, and Haiti, we are "buckling in" to relative stability in northwest Indiana. As the kids settle into their respective schools (Matt and Hannah in home school, Rachel at public school), we are mapping out Fall plans for partnership building. The Lake Michigan area is our main focus. A 200 mile radius from where we live covers a good portion of Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. Travel outside of this area will, most likely, mean I will go alone.

One of the main ways that we present what God is doing among the Roma in the Czech Republic is through "Czech Desserts". A Czech Dessert is hosted by you. You can make up your own invitation list or work together with us to decide who will be invited. Then we come and share the ministry in a fun, informal way. A typical night includes:

Greeting
Game (our favorite is pictionary where we pick pictures that symbolize something that we will talk about)
Multimedia presentation of the ministry
Question and Answer time
Czech Dessert (made by Dora) and snacks provided by you
Handouts and information on how to be more involved in this ministry

If you live within the area described above and would like to host a Czech Dessert, please contact me. We would love to combine a visit with a Czech Dessert...and we will bring the dessert!
